Driving Directions

From the North
Take I-43 south to exit 73B at North Avenue. Turn left on North Avenue going east. At the east end of North Avenue at the top of the bluff, turn right onto Terrace Avenue. The museum is located a block south on the left.

From the South

Take I-43 north and merge eastbound onto I-794 at exit 310C. Take the Lakefront off-ramp, exit 1F. Turn left onto Lincoln Memorial Drive. Turn left onto Lafayette Hill Road at McKinley Park. Turn right at the top of the hill onto East Lafayette Place. Proceed past the next stop sign and turn left onto Terrace Avenue. The museum is two blocks north on the right.

From the West

Take I-94 east. Merge onto I-794 east at exit 310C. Take the Lakefront off-ramp, exit 1F. Turn left onto Lincoln Memorial Drive. Turn left onto Lafayette Hill Road at McKinley Park. Parking

The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is a historic mansion located in a residential neighborhood on Milwaukee’s lakefront. There is no off-street parking at the museum; however, the museum has three parking spots for those with special needs located on the south end of the museum’s front driveway. At most times there is ample street parking. Please be aware of posted city parking regulations.

 

Public Transit

From the North

Milwaukee County Transit bus routes 30, 30x and the Gold Line Express stop on Farwell Avenue, just south of North Avenue. Walk south to the end of the block and turn left at East Ivanhoe Place. In four blocks, East Ivanhoe Place ends at the museum.

From the South

Milwaukee County Transit bus routes 30, 30x and the Gold Line Express stop on Prospect Avenue at North Avenue. Walk one block south to East Ivanhoe Place. Turn left. In three blocks, East Ivanhoe Place ends at the museum.

From the West

Milwaukee County Transit bus route 21 stops at the east end of North Avenue at the Water Tower. Head east to Terrace Avenue and turn right. The museum is two blocks south on the left.
