Thea Kovac

Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is pleased to present Summer Bounty, an exhibition of luminous watercolor and acrylic paintings by Milwaukee artist Thea Kovac.

Drawing inspiration from gardens, landscapes, and the expressive power of color, Kovac’s work balances observation with intuition. The exhibition brings together selections from two bodies of work—Hanging Gardens and Floating Light—that celebrate nature while inviting viewers into worlds of movement, memory, and imagination.

Thea Kovac is a Milwaukee-based visual artist, poet, educator, and founder of The Lost Playground Studio. For more than two decades she has taught throughout southeastern Wisconsin while exhibiting paintings that transform natural forms into vibrant explorations of color, energy, and possibility.
