Thursday May 23rd: Field to Vase Designing

The field to vase trend is sweeping the floral industry just as the farm to table trend has taken over the culinary world. Today's most popular flowers "reflect what's from the garden and the field." says Debra Prinzing, a Seattle-based author of the 2013 book "Slow Flowers".  Locally, Belle Fiori has a wide variety of local providers and sustainable farms to partner with. In this hands on class student will learn how to design with delicate wildflowers and foraged branches alike.

June 27: Succulent Bar

It will finally be warm enough to set these South West favorites outside on the patio here in Wisconsin. Belle Fiori will prepare a wide variety of succulents in many shapes and sizes.  Pick your plants, pick your pot and personalize it. Get ready to get your hands dirty.

Bring in any plant questions or root-bound pots and we will repot them together. (one repotted plant per student)

August 22: Asian Inspiration

It all began with the ancient practice of Ikebana and has blossomed into a modern art form like no other.  See fresh samples of Asian inspired designs and create a floral bento box to take home.

September 19: For your Backyard Friends

Fall is just around the corner and flowers are taking on their real purpose in nature, providing seeds!  Learn how to coil your own grapevine wreath from foraged vines.  Then the class will decorate the wreaths with botanical treats for our feathered friends. Amaranth, Millet, Sunflower heads and more will not only look lovely but also be a treat for everyone in your backyard.  Hang this in the garden or on a fence post to welcome in the cool fall nights.
